The World is changing one thread at a time

Facebook just deleted pictures of my own children on my account

Life is hard, and we all need some little things to perk us up and refuel our spirits. For me, what gets me through the day, well it’s watching my ex-wife and her family stumble around and be bigots in the most technologically advanced way possible. Come children, gather round. Let’s hear the tale of the Grinch that Stole Black Friday…

Now, I’m just a really nice person. I happened to find some pictures a few weeks ago that were publicly available on the Internet of two boys who just happen to be my children. You see I haven’t seen my children or pictures of my children since May of 2012 because I’m transgender, and the other parents do everything they can to keep me from my own flesh and blood children. I know it sounds “crazy” in 2013, but guess what? It’s true! I’m dealing with transphobic, homophobic, and just plain weird people who want to keep me from seeing my children.

Well I was so excited a few weeks ago, because I randomly figured out how to get access to my ex’s pictures of my boys. She had done the wrong thing of posting my kids pictures publicly without setting up her privacy settings correctly. But, I hadn’t seen my kids in 18 months, so I couldn’t care less. They’re my children for Christ’s sakes. I downloaded pictures of my kids from her Facebook account. And I was so emotionally overwhelmed, because I haven’t seen my babies in 18 months. They are so beautiful and I was just overwhelmed with happiness and sadness and every emotion that you can think of.

Now, this morning I get this:

So, basically Facebook deleted photos from my Facebook account of my own children that I legally obtained from a public source. Hmm… That is some funky shit right there.

I want to know how the hell they did this. I want some sort of explanation. I know Facebook isn’t legally binding or anything, but this is absurd.

Of course I have my settings turned on properly, so these photos weren’t available to anyone except my friends and family who were so overjoyed to see that the boys were healthy and happy. My parents, the boys’ grandparents who hadn’t seen pictures either were so excited to see them.

But it’s typical. All this privacy nonsense is BS. It’s just a way to keep me from my kids. I use which is an excellent service that allows you to see who reads your site. So I know that on Thanksgiving day a certain someone from Moorpark, CA accessed my blog at 2:07pm PST. I won’t go into the details. Let’s just call me Sherlock from now on…

So she loads up the good old Threads of Gender on Thanksgiving right before diving into some Pumpkin pie and sees me say that I got pictures of my kids, probably from this post:

And then I guess she calls Facebook Central and they’re on the case! What? A transgender woman has pictures on her account of her own children that she legally obtained from the public internet? What?! To the Picture Deleter!

So I guess it’s Blue! Who would’ve guessed. I knew the Brown Shirts would be back some day, but we never knew the color. Ohh…whatever…

Yay to me being transgender in America in 2013!

Tumblr’s Facebook Integration Sucks!

Anyone know of a better way than going straight to Facebook? I tried going to Twitter and then to Facebook, but then it would die all the time. When you go straight from Tumblr to Facebook, it doesn’t show a thumbnail or anything.

Follow me on Facebook for Auto Updates! Edit [Twitter too! 8^} ]

And great fortunes. And more friends. And more money. And a more interesting life. And well, an additional like on the page. Be my Friend!!?

If you’re already my Tumblr friend, then I thank you graciously, and you really don’t need to be my friend on Facebook. It might be too overwhelming, anyway.

Bye, Sunday, Bye :)

P.S. It’s right over there <— to the left. Twitter too!
